ToTok is back in Google Play only

The developer of the messaging app, ToTok, has announced its return to the Google Play store for the Android system after its removal due to allegations that it was being used for government spying, while the application remains unavailable on the Apple store.

We are glad to inform you that ToTok is now available for download through the Google Play Store.

Both Google and Apple removed the app from the app store last month after the New York Times reported that ToTok had allowed the UAE government to track conversations, moves, and other details of the people who installed it on their phones.

The UAE Telecommunications Regulatory Authority denied these accusations, saying: The country's laws prohibit any kind of data breach and illegal interception, as the UAE is investing heavily in new technologies and artificial intelligence.

ToTok became popular by offering free calls and messaging to millions of users in countries like UAE, the app was launched in 2019 and was developed by Breej Holding.
