Ghost of Tsushima is the new action and open world game from the development team "Sugar Bunch" and is planned to be released exclusively on PlayStation 4 this year unless the release date is changed later due to the Corona virus crisis.
The official Playstation magazine shared some additional details about this project:
- Tsushima Island will be fully open to play and adventure in order to deter the Mongol attack on it based on real events.
- The development team is interested in creating a samurai drama as it has achieved in cinema and studio films. It refers to legendary director Akira Kurosawa as an inspiration.
- Tunes in the game from Shigeru Umebayashi, skilled in Asian cinematography, and from his works House Of Flying Daggers and Yumeji.
- There are no signs to show you your way in the game world, you must explore based on the features in the game.
- The hanging hook can be used to bypass enemy camps without being exposed, or to hide and engage in bloody battles.
It is possible to use flaming arrows and sticky bombs.
There are partners who will help you in fighting, but the story may be influenced by what you want to do, for example, your ally Makoto, the professional archer, may be your best partner and will help you spread "ghost" rumors, but it may also stand against you if you make decisions that do not Agree to it.
