Quiet Mode on Facebook and how does it work?

Facebook started testing the new feature last month, and now it has officially announced its launch, as it will be available for iOS users within the following weeks, and then for Android users starting next May.

What is the quiet situation in Facebook, and how does it work?

When Quiet Mode is enabled, the application interface will disappear behind the full screen notification to remind you to run the setting and display the amount of time remaining until the (Quiet Mode) is finished, and although Facebook already provides the ability to mute notifications from the application, however (Quiet Mode) differs in that Allows a period of time for notifications to be muted.

And if you want to turn off this feature, you can click on the Manage Quiet Mode button to go to your settings and disable the feature at any time, and this feature does not allow you to disable it directly, rather you have to go through several steps to restore the application's normal mode.

(Quiet Mode) mutes most, but not all, Facebook notifications, and according to a Facebook post the company is legally required to allow certain notifications to appear, such as: related to privacy policy changes or account security, but notifications for new posts, messaging responses, and other schedule interactions will disappear Completely while this mode is active.

This applies to notifications sent by your Android phone or iOS, as well as those in the Facebook application itself, and you will still be able to follow what is happening in your account as it will appear in the notification tab, but if you decide to check the interactions of your friends you will not receive any alerts about them during You are in Quiet Mode.

You can turn on quiet mode in the Facebook application through the following steps:

-- Click the main menu tab.
--Scroll down to the option (Settings and Privacy); tap on it.
--Click on "Manage Your Time".
--Here you will see two options:
1- Quiet Mode: Allows you to block all notifications.

2- Scheduled Quiet Mode: which allows you to specify the times and days during which you want to block notifications.

When you enable (quiet mode) you will see a reminder of that every time the application opens, and in the message also you will find the remaining time until the end of the specified time period to stop notifications.

Other options to mute Facebook notifications:

For those who do not have (quiet mode) yet, but need a practical way to hide notifications coming from the Facebook app, they can use other options like:

Facebook's Mute Notifications option, which allows you to get rid of Facebook notifications until you turn it off.

You can also use Do Not Disturb, or Airplane Mode, to pause notifications, and you can turn these modes off anytime you want.
