WhatsApp is the preferred option for the vast majority of people when it comes to staying in touch with loved ones. The problem is that the most used instant messaging app on the planet doesn't seem ready for such a situation, and many users have faced certain restrictions such as the inability to make group video calls with more than 4 people. The restrictions have prompted many people to use other alternatives like the famous Houseparty and Zoom.
But there may be a solution to this problem soon. As it came from the WABetaInfo portal, WhatsApp is working to increase the number of people who can participate in a group video call, thus eliminating once and for all four active participants today.
Although it is not known what the new limit for participants is, they at the mentioned portal confirmed that once the maximum of four people was canceled, in group video calls on WhatsApp at least five people would be able to participate.
They also confirm that in order to participate in a call with more than four people, it will be necessary to download the latest available version of WhatsApp, which will be released through Google Play for Android, and through the App Store for iPhone devices. He is due to arrive in the coming weeks, but at the present time there is no specific date.
