According to one of the engineers working on the Chrome browser, the browser will start to exploit a feature present in the latest Windows 10 updates, which is the May 2020 update, and this feature is called Segment Heap and it is mainly concerned with improving the use of RAM.

The new Segment Heap feature revolves around improving the use and exploitation of RAM in the system, and the most prominent examples of this is to reduce the consumption of Win32 applications for memory, including Chrome, of course, this is in addition to many other applications such as Your Phone, Xbox Game Bar and Skype.

Summary of the matter According to a Chrome engineer, the browser will fully support this feature, and when the new feature was tested on Microsoft's Edge browser, which is built on Chrome, it showed 27% less RAM consumption!
