It seems that Google has a new solution to all password problems on the Android system, and this solution lies in the One Tap tool especially for what users suffer from forgetting their passwords or even forgetting whether they have logged in to the service or application with a Google account or Facebook account.
First, before we talk about the new tool, we give you an overview of the tools and services that Google currently provides in this regard:
1- Google Sign-In: The usual service for logging in with a Google account
2- Smart Lock service: which will be used to save passwords and then re-login
3- Android Autofill: It will be used to enter the login data automatically
Currently, the new One Tap service will combine the previous tools, and this is that opening any application for the first time will allow Google to register an account directly using a Google account, and here the process ends, or you can also choose your own password which will also be saved on Google for later use in different places. The new service will re-adapt the three services that we mentioned above to merge with them at a later time, this on the one hand, and on the other hand, Google intends to facilitate the process of completely changing the device! This is where the company is planning a service called the Block Store and it will simply allow you to save your passwords, your usernames and everything related to Google's cloud service or on the device itself encrypted.
When you upgrade from your phone to a new phone and transfer your files between the two phones, your login information will also be transferred to all applications, and this will not make you re-sign you in each application separately when purchasing a new phone!
Both One Tap and Block Store services will be part of a suite of services called Google identity Services or Google identity services that will also get all the features of Google Sign-In, Smart Lock services and other similar Google services that are presently available.
