Microsoft announces a new wired headphone

Microsoft has unveiled the updated wired Xbox stereo headset, worth $59.99, after the successful launch of the first Xbox wireless headset.

The main difference is the cost, which is significantly lower than the cost of the premium $100 wireless headphone launched earlier in 2021.

The new headset promises everything you've come to expect from an Xbox product such as performance, outstanding features, quality and accessibility to deliver immersive experiences across platforms, computers and mobile devices.

Based on the design of the Xbox Wireless Headset, the wired Xbox headset features a flexible and lightweight design, with an adjustable, padded headband, plus large, soft earcups to keep you comfortable throughout extended gaming sessions.

The updated Xbox stereo wired headset launches on September 21. As expected, it is missing some features. But without compromising a lot from a design point of view.

And you can twist the dial on the outside of the right ear cup to adjust the volume. And there's a mute button on the back of the flexible microphone - mirroring what you get with the wireless version.

The updated Xbox stereo wired headset doesn't seem to have a chat or game audio mixing disc on the left ear cup as it does on the more expensive model. But this is not a huge loss due to the price difference.

The updated Xbox stereo wired headset connects to the Xbox console via a dark green cable and a 3.5mm port. This means that you can use it with other devices and platforms that support this port.

An adapter can also be used to connect them to phones or tablets that do not have a dedicated headphone port.

The company says that the new headphone supports spatial audio technologies such as Dolby Atmos, Windows Sonic, and DTS:X. It also features the ability to perform mid and high frequencies with powerful bass.

And if the sound quality is similar to what it is in the wireless version. Many gamers should be happy with this $59.99 model.

The updated Xbox stereo wired headset is now available for pre-order through the company's store. Microsoft says it's available at other retailers as well.
